Recap
Amazing. That’s one word to describe his draft. Let’s start with the obvious, RB Derrick Henry as a keeper for a 3rd round pick is highway robbery. Henry finished last season with double digit rushing TDs and gave Victor a huge advantage in the draft. He used that advantage to draft 2 WRS in back to back rounds. Devante Adams and Mike Evans will elevate Victor to countless wins this season. Victor rounded out the middle rounds with veteran QB Aron Rodgers and TE Darren Waller. Rodgers has the potential to excel because he has a year of Matt Lafleur under his belt. If HC John Gruden has anything to say about TE Darren Waller’s fantasy production, this move will be clutch for the raider look-alikes, Victor. The biggest surprise and most likely bust was his 6th round pick RB Marlon Mack. Mack, who hasn’t been able to pull together a whole 16 game campaign in his career, will be competing for a lead role with the Colts 1st round pick RB Jonathan Taylor. Victor made up for this by turning around in the 7th round and nabbing WR Henry Ruggs III who, with the season ending injury to WR Tyrell Williams, has become the favorite to be WR1 on the newly revamped Las Vegas Raiders. This pick inspired the clever and raunchy team name “Ruggs Burns” which has many people laughing. This move was especially painful for Jake and Matt, who both planned on drafting the 1st round WR out of Alabama. As soon as Victor replaces his auto-drafted IDP retired LB Luke Kuechly with a viable starter off the wire he will have one of the most well rounded day 1 squads.
