Maholmes (Aleks) improved to 3-1 on the young season, thanks to some solid production from an unlikely source. We usually expect QB Patrick Mahomes to throw up ridiculous numbers, but he only put up a tame 44.24 in Week 4 (partly due the Patriots defense). Aaron Jones had his usual good game (22.10), but Kelce had a mediocre performance (11.00). The real surprise here was the performance of Will Fuller (23.80) and Tre’Quan Smith (21.40) — they combined for 24.2% of the total points for Maholmes, which is a fucking surprise considering he has PATRICK MAHOMES. Speaking of Patricks, LB Patrick Queen had a great day from the IDP position, dropping a season-high 13.50. Queen has surpassed his projected total in 3 out of 4 games this season. Maholmes was also affected by the COVID postponements, losing Corey Davis of the Titans. Maholmes will look to get to 4-1 next week as he faces off against Bald Mambas.
Line-Up Grade: B
LJ Will Lead the Way (Rell) was relying on a monster game from QB Lamar Jackson this week and instead got a solid game (46.02). Jackson outscored Mahomes, but it was the rest of Rell’s team that failed to show up. Only RB Jerrick McKinnon (22.70) and RB James Robinson (14.70) scored double-digits on the offensive side, while on the defensive side, the Bills scored 14.00 and IDP Bobby Wagner put up 12.00 by himself. RB Austin Ekeler went down early in the Chargers game and looks to be out several weeks, so Rell will be on the waiver wire during those morning poops (or is that just me?). Rell did leave some points on the bench (Terry McLaurin, 21.80), so it’s safe to say he will be in the line-up next week.
