Power Rankings: 1-5
1. Seattle Sounders FC
Social Mike Break-down
The Sounders top my inaugural rankings of the MLS and getting Jordan Morris back this season has proven to be to be a big part of that. Even with a game in hand Seattle is +7 in goal difference, as both Jordan Morris and Raul Ruidiaz are in the top 5 scoring with 3 goals a piece.
2. Los Angeles FC
Social Mike Break-down
LAFC has gotten off to a great start going 3-0-1 in its opening 4 games, they also land Carlos Vela on the top 5 scoring list (3 goals) which should help them moving forward. Currently at 1st in the Western Conference having played 1 more game, LAFC should be a regular in the top 5 all season long.
3. D.C. United
Social Mike Break-down
DC United has the top goal scorer of this young season and that is non other than Wayne Rooney. The Bad-boy currently has 3 goals tying him with the previously mentioned (Morris, Ruidiaz, Vela) with that count, we’ll keep an eye on DC United in what looks to be a tough year in the Eastern Conference.
4. Columbus Crew FC
Social Mike Break-down
The Crew now with year 2 of Gyasi Zardes hoping he carries over his career best 19 from last season. They’ll need Zardes to repeat that type of production to keep the Crew in the mix amongst the top of the Conference this season.
5. Houston Dynamo
Social Mike Break-down
Houston closes out my rankings at # 5 and currently sit at 3rd in the Western Conference. Having still not tasted defeat this season, the Dynamo travel to Colorado to face the winless Rapids who are currently in 9th in the Western Conference this almost feels like the stage is set for the Rapids upset.

- Toronto FC

- Montreal Impact
- Minnesota United FC
