AHS: Week 14 Recap

⚠️Commissioner Message⚠️

Well, it’s safe to say I wasn’t able to recap every week this season. This year has been draining in many different ways, but I wanted to say that having you all in this league was a real bright spot for me. Despite my poor performance, the group chat was always exciting and hilarious, keeping me engaged and entertained. I really wish we could meet up in person to hang out and talk shit, but virtual will have to do for now. This has been a great season, all things considered. I miss you all! I hope everyone stays safe and their families are safe. Can’t wait see you all in person!

On to the playoffs recap, wow. Wow. WOW! We had three favorites handle their business, including the #1 seed BARELY hang on, and we had one upset.

Playoff Recaps

(1) Aleks vs (8) Joey

1. Maholmes (9-4)

142.82

8. Winging It all 2020 (7-6)

142.24

Difference: 0.58 points

COUNT THE SCORE! STOP THE COUNT! That’s what the ending of this game was like. Aleks survives and breaks the curse of the #1 seed in this league, sending Joey home disappointed. Aleks used a decent game from Mahomes, who looked like shit at first, and Kelce really saved the day for Aleks. Joey’s team didn’t play all that well, but for a second they almost had it there for a second.

Aleks advances to play Marcos for a spot in the finals, as Joey plays fellow Cowboy-truther in Roy for a chance at 3rd.

(2) Matt vs (7) Tim

2. Bald Mambas (9-5)

128.84

7. Fresh Prince of Helaire (7-6)

202.06

Difference: 73.22 points

If you have started watching true crime shows during the pandemic, then this was the match for you as Tim slaughtered Matt in round 1. Matt’s team just didn’t show up and the ghost of Christian McCaffrey haunted the Bald Mambas every game this year and Matt will have some decisions to make as he thinks about 2021. Tim was thankful Kyler Murray somewhat regained his form, but it was really a balanced performance from the entire roster.

Tim advances to the semifinals to play Victor, as Matt tries to finish in 3rd against Dboy next week.

(3) Victor vs (6) Dany

3. Ruggs Burns (9-4)

177.90

6. FlyEaglesfly (7-6)

157.04

Difference: 20.86 points

Victor has been riding Aaron Rodger’s back like he’s Matt LaFluer, and Rodgers delivered in Round 1. Oh, and Victor has Derrick Henry, so the combo of those two players carried the way for Goombs. Dany put up a fight, but his white QB didn’t play well, and Victor’s white QB did.

Victor takes on #1 seed Aleks next round, as Dboy faces Matt.

(4) Marcos vs (5) Roy

4. EL Matadors (8-5)

189.02

5. All of a Sutton (7-6)

173.46

Difference: 15.56 points

Marcos has been quiet most of year and while being a new dad is distracting, I know he is happy about winning in round 1. Justin Herbert played well and tallied up the points and Nick Chubb and Austin Ekeler assisted in the win. Roy had one of the most impressive comebacks I’ve seen in fantasy even to get here, but his time has come. The Rams defense played well, but at least he didn’t play Cam.

Marcos moves on to face Tim, while Roy faces Joey.
