Maholmes rides Mahomes to Week 1 Win

Maholmes (Aleks) improves to 1-0 after an impressive Week 1 victory against Murdermarx. Keeper and star QB Patrick Mahomes dropped 50.44 in his season debut, though he was outscored by his counterpart (surprising, but true!). Maholmes used excellent production from most of his starters, as seven players (including Mahomes) scored 10 points or more. This is the final year of Mahomes being a keeper, so this the last year we see Mahomes suiting up for team Aleks … as a keeper at least. Aleks used his homer fandom to select the Ravens in the 9th round and again it paid off, as the Ravens dropped 24.0 points in the season opener. Maholmes will play All of a Sutton next week, so I think Maholmes is confident going into Week 2.

Murdermarx (Marcos) drops to 0-1, despite having some solid production in his lineup. As mentioned earlier, QB Philip Rivers outscored Mahomes by 0.38 (50.82), but really left points on the table with his late intercptions. This must feel bitter-sweet for Marcos — Rivers isn’t blowing leads for his Chargers (they won), but he blows it for his fantasy team. Ouch. Josh Allen dropped 61.18 from the bench, so Murdermarx will have to make some decisions at the QB position next week. WR1 Calvin Ridley also had an amazing day with 33.90 points, but it wasn’t enough. Marcos will look to get going against another team that’s 0-1, but the new dad has bigger problems (poopy diapers) on his hands.
