Battle of the Monday Night WR2s
Kevin’s Famous Chili (Brandon) received a routine beating which he has grown accustomed to in years of unsuccessful fantasy football matchups. He’s now 0-1. With scores being so close, it came down to the Monday night matchups. Jerry Jeudy (8.60) wasn’t enough his NFL debut and like Brandon, dropped the ball. In a post-draft transaction, securing QB Jimmy G (46.26) looked like it paid off while early draft picks Mixon (5.10) and OBJ (5.20) did all they could to keep KFC in the fryer. Week 1 MVP for Brandon was clearly Mostert (29.10) who more than doubled his projected production, but still wasn’t enough. KFC had nothing to note from the bench except Cole Beasley (9.80) scoring more than his starter OBJ. Kevin’s Famous Chili should get used to bending over for teams who are clearly better than his.
LJ will lead the way (Rell) pulled off a win in a matchup that was closer than it should have been to become 1-0. Rell shows that his team name is no joke with Lamar Jackson(54.50) leading the way with this victory. With Miles Sanders being out, Rell had to fill the spot and chose wrong. RB Jerick McKinnon(14.20) was left on the bench while Kerryon Johnson (1.40) getting the call up. Even though mistakes were made with the running backs, wide receivers looked to be the life line to this victory. Receivers Woods (17.90), Lockett (17.20), and Slayton(32.20) all over performed and provided much needed help. Monday night saw Rell on the edge of his seat till a 41 yard TD pass to Slayton essentially locked up this weeks victory and let him relax. Slayton’s late game touchdown was the second of the night and further penetrated team KFC just like they like it. With high expectations Rell will need his team to step it up and could use a dash of luck to win next weeks matchup with The Dirty Birdies.
