#4 – Cleveland Cavaliers
2016 NBA Champions
Number 4 Seed: Eastern Conference

The Cleveland Cavaliers shocked the world in 2016. Not only did they win their first ever NBA Championship, they beat a team that won a NBA-record 73 games in the regular season. In the regular season, the Cavs had their struggles at times, but managed to get together two different win-streaks of eight games. The Cavaliers ended up with 57 wins, the number one seed in the East and were the heavy favorites to get back to the NBA Finals. The Cavs dominated the first three rounds, winning their first 10 postseason games before losing two in a row to the Raptors in the East Finals. The Cavs won the next two, eventually beating the Raps in six games. In the NBA Finals, it was a rematch between the Golden State Warriors, who beat the Cavs in six games last year, winning game six on the Cavs home court. The Warriors took a commanding 3-1 lead, but the Cavaliers fought back, tying the series at 3-3. In a classic game seven, the Cavaliers beat the Warriors (on their home floor) to win their first ever NBA title. LeBron James took home NBA Finals MVP for the third time in his career.
