#7 – Boston Celtics
1965 NBA Champions
Number 9 Seed: Eastern Conference

The Boston Celtics truly dominated a very young NBA in the 1960’s. Coming off six straight titles, yes six straight, the Celtics did not have any intention of losing any time soon. The Celtics won 62 games in the regular season, the most in franchise history at the time. In the postseason, the Celtics awaited their first opponent to join them in the East Finals, which happened to be Wilt Chamberlain and the Philadelphia 76ers. In a grueling 7-game series, the Celtics advanced past Wilt, to get to the NBA Finals, once again. In the Finals, the Celtics faced the LA Lakers, whom they dismantled in five, earning their 7th straight title.
