Social Mike’s Take

1. LAFC – What is there to say? LAFC have proven all season long that they are the best team in the MLS, by a lot. (LA Galaxy) “cough, cough” may think differently, but with an insane +46GD and being the only team to clinch a playoff spot so far this season means something.

2. Atlanta United FC – For now Atlanta FC holds down the top spot of the Eastern Conference with PHI & NYC within range to take over the top spot. Atlanta has been the better of the 3, can they remain in the 1 spot of the East or will they be dethroned?

3. New York City FC – Like Atlanta United FC, NYCFC finds themselves hoping to end in the 1 seed of the Eastern Conference lookin to get the bye. NYC is only 1 point (47 points) and 1 goal (+15GD) behind ATL, they’ll definitely look to make a push as we get closer to October.

4. Philadelphia Union The Philadelphia Union are the 3rd of the bunch in the Eastern Conference race for the top spot, even though they are tied for 1st with (48 points) they are behind ATL+16 & NYC+15 in the Goal Difference department. With the same hopes that ATL & NYC have to looking to end #1 at seasons snd in the East, also have that bye week to get some rest.

5. Los Angeles Galaxy – Like i mentioned earlier “means something” LA Galaxy is 1 of 3 teams to have beaten LAFC this season, they followed that up with a draw in the second El Trafico meeting. That for sure means something as not many teams have had success against the best team in the league even if they are 20 points clear of their cross town rival.

Top Goal Scorers

1. Carlos Vela (LAFC) – 27 Goals

2. Zlatan Ibramiovic (LAG) – 22 Goals

3. Josef Martinez (AUFC) – 22 Goals

4. Diego Rossi (LAFC) – 14 Goals

5. Herber (NYCFC) – 13 Goals
