JT Poston wins the Wyndham Championship, securing his very first PGA Tour victory! The 26-year old carded a final round 62 (-8) to secure the victory, which now moves Poston up to #27 in the FedEx Cup Standings. Before this win, Poston’s best finish was T6 at the RBC Heritage this year, and he was most known for being mistaken for a valet, twice! Now … he’s riding high into the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Webb Simpson finished second, securing his spot in the Wyndham Rewards Top 10, and young phenom Viktor Hovland finished 4th in his final PGA event for the year, but I think it’s safe to say we will see Hovland in the playoffs next year. Our boy Tiger Woods stays at number 27 in the FedEx Cup standings, so a solid performance at TNT will increase his chances of playing at the TOUR Championship.
