After getting off to a hot start (8-2) the Dodgers have hit a slump as of late, fresh off a clean sweep by the St. Louis Cardinals in their 4 game series. One of the downsides of the losing streak is we can no longer blame Joe Kelly for the losses. On the bright side, reports have it that Dodgers Ace (and Future HOF’r) Clayton Kershaw is set to debut Monday night for the Dodger blue. Since our last check in the boys in Blue have gone 3-4, and things won’t get any easier with the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers next up for a 3 game series. Stay Tuned!!!
Let’s take a look at how week number 2 played out for the LA Dodgers:

There is no player that is swinging the bat better than Cody Bellinger at the moment. Cody leads all of baseball with 7 homers, 19 runs batted in so far, and 49 total bases through the first 14 games he’s played. He is playing like the MVP-candidate that the Dodgers need him to be, even in the middle of a four-game losing streak.

Dodgers utility star Chris Taylor has struggled to start the 2019 season. Last season, Taylor led the league in strike outs with 178, and he is off to a roaring start in that category. With the ever-fragile Corey Seager going down with another injury, it’s even more important that Taylor gets going.
