The Super Bowl is here, one of my favorite days of the year. I know it sounds semi-ridiculous, but it should be a national holiday … or at least the next day. It’s a huge part of American culture. The commercials, the media, and of course, the game. This years game features the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams were the number two seed in their respective conferences and had to win two playoff games to get here. Below is everything you will need to know about the game — where/how to watch it, who’s involved, the halftime show, and how to bet on the game!

When is the game?

Super Bowl LIII will take place this Sunday, February 3, 2019.

Kickoff time is 6:30 p.m. ET.

Where is the game?

Great question. This year, the Super Bowl is being held in Atlanta, at the brand-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium (home of the Falcons). This is the first Super Bowl the Mercedes-Benz Stadium has hosted, which opened in 2017.

What is the halftime show?

Maroon 5 is the headlining performer during the Super Bowl 53 halftime show in 2019. They will be joined by rappers Travis Scott and Big Boi. 

How do I watch the game?

The most important question! This year, the game will be on CBS, which is channel 2 in the Los Angeles market (where I live). This year, you will be able to stream the game for FREE on CBSSports.com or on their app, so that’s pretty cool. Announcers Jim Nantz and Tony Romy will call the game, much to everyone’s delight.

Who is playing?

Now let’s get to who is actually playing in the game. As mentioned before, Super Bowl 53 features the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams. These two same teams played each other 17 years ago, in Super Bowl XXXVI, with the Patriots winning that game 20-17. Coincidentally, that game spawned the New England dynasty …. which has lead to five super bowl wins and nine super bowl appearances, including this one.

Let’s save the best for last! Just as the Super Bowl is one of America’s past times, so is gambling!
