Tier 1 – The Best, I Guess

Zo

200px-New_England_Patriots_logo_svg

1. New England Patriots  green_arrow_up
Record: 5-2
Last Game: W, 23-7 vs Falcons
Next Game: Week 8 vs Chargers
Last Week: 3

Brandon: The Patriots are back to being the number one team in the league, just because I trust them most. Tom Brady is truly a human specimen.

Erick: The Patriots bullied the Falcons, and it looks like they’re the best team in NFL again. But the fact that the Patriots are the best team in the league, says a lot about the 2017 NFL season so far, and it’s not good.

chiefs

2. Kansas City Chiefs 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 5-2
Last Game: L, 30-31 @ Raiders
Next Game: Week 8 vs Broncos (MNF)
Last Week: 1

B: The Chiefs lose two in a row, one being a heart-breaker to the Raiders. Alex Smith is still throwing the ball vertically, which is still a bit mind boggling.

E: They need to get back on track, after losing another game, but I still believe in Alex Smith and this offense.

philadelphia_eagle_logo

3. Philadelphia Eagles 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 6-1
Last Game: W, 34-24 vs Washington (MNF)
Next Game: Week 8 vs 49ers
Last Week: 2

B: The Eagles continue to look very impressive, just not as good as KC or NE. They are the best team in the NFC, and Carson Wentz is magic at QB.

E: Got to love the way Philly is playing, they’re playing the kind of football that also wins games in the post season not just the regular season.

Pittsburgh_Steelers_logo.svg

4. Pittsburgh Steelers green_arrow_up
Record: 5-2
Last Game: W, 29-14 vs Bengals
Next Game: Week 8 @ Lions
Last Week: 5

B: The Steelers offense looks to be back. Big Ben finally had a good game and they got the “Get the Ball to Le’Veon” memo. Martavis might be an ongoing issue.

E: With the Ravens falling apart, and Ben playing better, I can’t see how the Steelers don’t win the AFC North.

7953_los_angeles_rams-primary-2017.png

5. Los Angeles Rams green_arrow_up
Record: 5-2
Last Game: W, 33-0 vs Cardinals (London)
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 6

B: The LA Rams are a top-5 team. I didn’t think I’d say it, especially not this soon, but they are solid on both sides of the ball. McVay might be the QB whisperer.

Erick: I’m still waiting for the Rams to fall apart, but they still haven’t, and it’s starting to look more likely that they won’t. This team is for real.

seattle_seahawks_vector_logo-svg

6. Seattle Seahawks  green_arrow_up
Record: 4-2
Last Game: W, 24-7 vs Giants
Next Game: Week 8 vs Texans
Last Week: 7

B: Seahawks are back and the NFC better watch out. This is my dark-horse favorite to get to the Super Bowl. They just need to figure out which RB to use (asking for a friend).

E: The Seahawks are starting to look more like the Seahawks of old, and are starting to climb up the rankings.

Tier 2 – Do You Smell Playoffs?

playoffs

large7. Minnesota Vikings green_arrow_up
Record: 5-2
Last Game: W, 24-16 vs Ravens
Next Game: Week 8 vs Browns (London)
Last Week: 10

Brandon: The Vikings are complete underdogs, yet they are 5-2. They’ve started two different QB’s and when Bridgewater comes back, this will be number 3.

E: The Vikings keep getting excuses to give up on the season, but they still keep fighting, and you gotta love that.

Houston_Texans_Logo

8. Houston Texans green_arrow_up
Record: 3-3
Last Game: Bye
Next Game: Week 8 @ Seahawks
Last Week: 9

B: The Texans got an early bye and find themselves in a division race. Watson is the best QB in the division, but will he hit a rookie wall?

E: Watson is why you would favor Houston over Jacksonville. Jacksonville’s defense gets the edge, but Bortles vs Watson is not even close.

9. atlanta_falcons_logo-svgAtlanta Falcons 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-3
Last Game: L, 7-24 @ Patriots
Next Game: Week 8 @ Jets
Last Week: 8

B: I really want to move the Falcons out of the top 10, but not yet. I will give them one more shot…but they look terrible and the drunk Sarkisian looks worse as OC.

E: The Hangover is for real with the Falcons, it’s not just that they lost to the Pats, but I expected them to be a lot more ready to play the Patriots after losing to them in the Super Bowl.

carolina_panthers_logo_201210. Carolina Panthers 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 4-3
Last Game: L, 3-17 @ Bears
Next Game: Week 8 @ Buccaneers
Last Week: 4

B: This Panthers team is not good. I was fooled into thinking this team could actually win games on the road, but they can’t. Not too sure what Cam sees out there, but it’s not his own team.

E: The fact that they have Cam, and Kuechly is coming back keeps the Panthers in the mix, but even then this teams seems off.

Buffalo_Bills_Logo

11. Buffalo Bills green_arrow_up
Record: 4-2
Last Game: W, 30-27 vs Buccaneers
Next Game: Week 8 vs Raiders
Last Week: 13

B: While the Bills may not win the division (or make the postseason) this team plays their asses off. Shady finally found the end zone…if he can do that…..

E: The Bills, quietly continue to win games, and after 7 games are only 1 game behind the Pats in the AFC East.

1022px-Jacksonville_Jaguars_logo.svg.png

12. Jacksonville Jaguars green_arrow_up
Record: 4-3
Last Game: W, 27-0 @ Colts
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 15

B: Well, I guess the Jags are not “lost”. They have their identity, and that is run the football as much as possible and not use Bortles.

E: Ladies, and gentlemen Welcome to Sacksonville! This defense can get after teams, and if they can keep Bortles from having to throw the ball too much, they’re going to get to the playoffs.

Tier 3 – The Unknown

steve
What are these teams? Are they bad? Decent? We have no idea…

washington_redskins_1000

13. Washington Football Team green_arrow_up
Record: 3-3
Last Game: L, 24-34 @ Eagles (MNF)
Next Game: Week 8 vs Cowboys
Last Week: 14

Brandon: The Washington racist football team played a decent football game on Monday night, but ultimately aren’t good enough it seems. Where is Terrell Pryor??

E: Tough loss to a good Eagles team, but if they can beat the Cowboys next week, Washington can remain in the hunt.

200px-new_orleans_saints_svg

14. New Orleans Saints green_arrow_up
Record: 4-2
Last Game: W, 26-17 @ Packers
Next Game: Week 8 vs Bears
Last Week: 18

B: Can’t write off this Saints team quite yet. The RB situation is not a worry anymore and Brees (though still old) can still sling that shit.

E: I have been down on the Saints all season long, but I have to admit they are better than I thought. I still don’t think this team is great, but the defense it better than I thought, and they’re in first place in the NFC South, so I have to respect what they’re doing.

denver_broncos_logo-svg

15. Denver Broncos 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-3
Last Game: L, 0-21 @ Chargers
Next Game: Week 8 @ Chiefs (MNF)
Last Week: 11

B: This team is not good. Siemian is not a good quarterback. Anytime that Demaryius Thomas doesn’t catch much, it’s not his fault. The pressure is on Mr. John Elway to deliver another QB.

E: I can’t figure this team out, but by now the rest of America and I have at least figured out, that Siemian is not a good QB.

green_bay_packers_logo

16. Green Bay Packers 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 4-3
Last Game: :, 16-27 vs Saints
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 12

B: Well, hate to say I told you so Packer fans. Actually, no I don’t. Brett Hundley is not the answer, and if you’re coach thinks he is, time for a new coach.

Erick: I gave the Packers a shot of hanging in there until Aaron Rodgers returned, but it doesn’t look like the Vikings are going to let that happen.

tennessee-titans-logo17. Tennessee Titans 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 4-3
Last Game: W, 12-9 @ Browns
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 16

B: A very unimpressive win going into the bye week, but this gives Mariota a much needed chance to rest.

E: I’m done believing in this team, barely beating the Browns in OT has to be the last straw for me.

dallas_cowboys_logo

18. Dallas Cowboys green_arrow_up
Record: 3-3
Last Game: W, 40-10 @ 49ers
Next Game: Week 8 @ Washington
Last Week: 21

B: Cowboys looked back to form, however it was against the winless 49ers. Next week will tell us more about this team. Zeke ate though.

E: Talk about a get right game… the Cowboys were able to beat up on a terrible 49ers team, and maybe that was the win they needed to get back on track.

oakland_raiders

19. Oakland Raiders green_arrow_up
Record: 3-4
Last Game: W, 31-30 vs Chiefs (TNF)
Next Game: Week 8 @ Bills
Last Week: 23

B: The Raiders saved their season with that last second win on Thursday. Now, they have to travel to Buffalo to save it again.

E: The Raiders have been up and down all season, but after beating the Chiefs, their back in the mix.

detroit_lions_logo

20. Detroit Lions 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-3
Last Game: Bye
Next Game: Week 8 vs Steelers
Last Week: 17

B: Fresh off a bye week, they get the Steelers. Matt Stafford should be healthy, and they realistically have shot, but…c’mon.

E: If the Lions are going to win the NFC North, this would be the year. Too bad it doesn’t seem like the Lions are ready to seize the opportunity.

4105_miami_dolphins-primary-2013

21. Miami Dolphins green_arrow_up
Record: 4-2
Last Game: W, 31-28 vs Jets
Next Game: Week 8 @ Ravens (TNF)
Last Week: 25

B: Well, this team is completely unpredictable. Now at 4-2, the Dolphins are in a playoff spot, but can they keep it up? I’m leaning towards no, for now.

E: The Dolphins move up in the rankings after another win, but they might move even higher, now that Cutler is not starting for them.

5505_los_angeles__chargers-alternate-2017.png

22. Los Angeles Chargers green_arrow_up
Record: 3-4
Last Game: W, 21-0 vs Broncos
Next Game: Week 8 @ Patriots
Last Week: 29

B: Now winners of three in a row, the Chargers find themselves back in the mix. NE is on deck, and this will determine a lot.

E: After winning 3 straight, and shutting out the Broncos, the Chargers look to be back on track….. That is, until they lose another 3 straight.

200px-New_York_Jets_logo_svg

23. New York Jets 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-4
Last Game: L, 28-31 @ Dolphins
Next Game: Week 8 vs Falcons
Last Week: 19

B: The Jets should come back down to Earth, but they definitely are better than a shit-show.

E: The Jets are close to being a playoff contender, even if their record doesn’t show it. If they are able to land a QB, either via free agency, or the draft, the Jets are going to be for real.

ktmkrakmc

24. Chicago Bears green_arrow_up
Record: 3-4
Last Game: W, 17-3 vs Panthers
Next Game: Week 8 @ Saints
Last Week: 28

B: The Bears defense is forcing me not to write them off. The “QB” play of Mitch Trubisky is encouraging me to write them off, and that their picks belong to SF.

E: It’s good to see a bad team that isn’t trying to tank. I hope it pays off for them, because I really like that fact that they haven’t quit.

Baltimore_Ravens_Logo

25. Baltimore Ravens 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-4
Last Game: L, 16-24 @ Vikings
Next Game: Week 8 vs Dolphins (TNF)
Last Week: 20

B: #repost The Ravens stink. I’m out on them. Flacco looks like a shell of himself, or maybe his true self. Point is, I’m out. (Can I just leave this here?)

E: Call me crazy, but I’m in a get rid of your Quarter Back kind of mood. I can’t see them doing it, but if the Ravens had the balls to trade Flacco, I would give them huge props.

Tier 4 – Welcome to Shitsville

giphy (3)

tampa_bay_buccaneers_2014

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-4
Last Game: L, 27-30 @ Bills
Next Game: Week 8 vs Panthers
Last Week: 22

Brandon: Welcome the Bucs to Shitsville. HBO is so proud.

Erick: I can’t see why this team is so bad, the only solution I have is, they need to fire the head coach.

clipart-download-funny-football-team-pics-and-amusing-football-clipart-9W4z20-clipart

27. Cincinnati Bengals9i4edn75t
Record: 2-4
Last Game: L, 14-29 @ Steelers
Next Game: Week 8 vs Colts
Last Week: 27

B: Ok, the Bengals don’t have a shot. They will give some false hopes, but like Matthew Berry says…they will bone you.

E: If they decide to trade Andy Dalton now, they can still find a sucker. I don’t know what they’re waiting for.

arizona_cardinals_logo.png

28. Arizona Cardinals2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 3-4
Last Game:L, 0-33 vs Rams (London)
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 24

B: Arizona heads into their bye week to lay down and die. Palmer out for the season pretty much ends any small hope they had.

E: I haven’t been high on the Cardinals all season, but now that they lost Palmer for the rest of the season they’re even worse.

indianapolis-colts-logo

29. Indianapolis Colts 2000px-red_arrow_down-svg_
Record: 2-5
Last Game: L, 0-27 vs Jaguars
Next Game: Week 8 @ Bengals
Last Week: 26

B: Seems Luck is out for the year, and this was probably planned to showcase Brissett, trade him and get picks. Solid work by the GM to keep Irsay not involved. Adios 2017 Colts.

E: The Colts are bad, but when it’s all said in done they’re still going to have a high draft pick and Andrew Luck for next season. They don’t deserve this!

new_york_giants_logo-svg30. New York Giants 9i4edn75t
Record: 1-6
Last Game: L, 7-24 vs Seahawks
Next Game: Bye
Last Week: 30

B: Seems the Giants are content with being number 30 in our power rankings. I don’t see a move from here until next season.

E: The Giants and Niners are in a battle for the 2nd overall pick, since the Browns seem to have the #1 pick on lock. The Eli era has to be over.

san_francisco_49ers_logo

31. San Francisco 49ers 9i4edn75t
Record: 0-7
Last Game: L, 10-40 vs Cowboys
Next Game: Week 8 @ Eagles
Last Week: 31

B: 49ers came crashing back to reality with an ass kicking in San Francisco Santa Clara. I don’t see a win on the slate for a few weeks, maybe at all.

E: The positive thing about starting Beathard is, he has reassured the 49ers, that they need to find a QB for the future, and they need to do it soon.

2000px-Cleveland_Browns_B.svg

32. Cleveland Browns 9i4edn75t
Record: 0-7
Last Game: L, 9-12 vs Titans
Next Game: Week 8 vs Vikings (London)
Last Week: 32

B: What a gift we give to London. This team is so bad. I can’t believe they passed up on all their QB’s. Wasn’t Hue a QB guy?!?

E: There is no doubt that the Brows are the worst team in the league, but the Browns might be even worse than we think. I can seriously see this team go 0-16.
